Our services include providing advice about all aspects of a sale or purchase of residential or commercial real estate, including condominiums, town houses and other strata titled properties, and the preparation of related contracts or other documents, such as agreements for sale, options to purchase, or rights of first refusal. We provide all services required to complete the transaction, including preparation of statements of the amount payable or receivable after adjustments for any relevant expenses or payable to release charges such as mortgages which registered on the property.
We also provide advice and prepare documents for leases of real property.
2. Mortgages and Debt Instruments
We offer advice and document preparation for mortgages on real property, debt agreements such as I.O.U.s, or personal security agreements.
3. Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and Health Representation Agreements:
We provide advice and preparation of any of these documents. Generally, Wills relate to the client’s wishes for the disposition of their assets on their death, Enduring Powers of Attorney grant other person(s) the authority to deal with some or all of the grantors assets on their behalf during their lifetime, and Health Representation Agreements give the person(s) named as a Representative the authority to make decisions about health care matters on behalf of the client.
Our services include advising executors, administrators, beneficiaries or others as to their rights and responsibilities with respect to the estate of a deceased person. In addition we conduct investigations about assets and/or liabilities, review documents such as insurance policies, prepare the required documents for an application for a grant of probate or a grant of letters of administration, prepare the documents to transfer assets into the name of the executor/administrator, and assist them with the preparation of an accounting of the assets and liabilities and to distribute the estate to the persons entitled.
We also offer advice with respect to disputes relating to estates, including disputes respecting entitlement and the administration of the estate.
A committeeship is an appointment by the Supreme Court of British Columbia of a person(s) to administer the financial affairs and/or the physical well being of a person who is found to be not capable of looking after these matters for themselves. We provide advice on the procedure and requirements to be appointed as a committee, the responsibilities of the committee, and we prepare the documents required for the application.
6. Incorporations and Corporate Matters
We provide advice and services for the incorporation of a company and act as the registered and records offices for companies. As the registered or records office we maintain the company records and prepare any documents needed to ensure it is in good standing with the Registrar of Companies. We also prepare the resolutions of directors and/or of the shareholders with regard to any corporate proceedings such as payment of dividends and the appointment of directors or officers
We also offer advice and prepare documents on corporate related matters such as share holder agreements.
7. Purchase and Sale of Businesses
We advise sellers or purchasers as to the terms of agreements for the sale or purchase of an existing company or of a business that is not incorporated. We also conduct appropriate searches to determine the outstanding liabilities of the company/business and prepare the applicable documents to complete the transaction.
8. Commercial Agreements
We can assist clients with many types of commercial agreements including joint venture agreements or partnership agreements.
